Komisar Brady & Co., LLP - Day of Giving - September 7, 2011 Working Together to Make a Difference Neighborhood House of Milwaukee

We closed our office for our 2nd annual Day of Giving on Thursday, September 7, 2011, with the entire staff of Komisar Brady working together with the staff of Neighborhood House of Milwaukee to accomplish many projects.

The Neighborhood House (http://www.nh-milw.org/) was founded in 1945 and strives to strengthen the lives of children, families and neighborhoods with a wide variety of social, educational and recreational programs spanning the life cycle. With diverse, innovative programs, and talented, dedicated staff, Neighborhood House is an urban engine of activity that serves more than 8,000 children, parents and grandparents annually.

We accomplished a number of outdoor tasks that day, including pulling countless weeds, trimming trees and bushes, mulching, cleaning and organizing the garage, edging on the grounds as well as beautifying the bird sanctuary that the children of Neighborhood House enjoy. We also gave a deep cleaning to the vans used to transport the children and their families.

While many of our staff tackled the grounds outside, many others took on some indoor projects, including assembling informational mailings regarding the importance of child immunization that are sent to families in the area. KB partner Ed Brady educated and enlightened the toddlers by reading to them. KB staff put the finishing touches on the roller rink by painting the DJ stand.

The sun was shining & the birds were singing and it was a very rewarding day for all! We look forward to continuing the tradition of giving back to the community during our 3rd annual Day of Giving in 2012.
